Illustrator Homework #1 - Tutorials

Adobe Illustrator is a software program used by artists and graphic designers to create graphics. It has digital drawing tools for creating illustrations, icons, and other artwork. Below are some tutorials I have found helpful in learning Adobe Illustrator. I spent at an hour and a half interacting with the various tutorials to learn how to use Adobe Illustrator.

The Illustrator CC Tutorial is very helpful in introducing Illustrator. The tutorial tells you how to set up everything and how to start. The tutorial explains how to use tools such as the line tool to create images. Overall I feel like this tutorial gave me a better understanding of Illustrator. From my perspective, the keyboard shortcuts for the various tools would be hard to remember. I would use Illustrator to create logos for stories and create character models.

The How to Use the Basic Tools in Adobe Illustrator Tutorial was short and went straight to the point. The tutorial explained in a concise way how all the tools and windows worked. This tutorial broke down each individual action in a short and easy to understand guide. From my perspective, learning and remembering all the various keyboard shortcuts would be the hardest. I would use Illustrator to create logos for stories and create character models.

Tutorial: Learn Illustrator in 5 minutes! Beginner Tutorial

The Learn Illustrator in 5 minutes Tutorial was similar to the other two but, short and concise. The video explained how to use the basic tools and the different keys you can use to manipulate objects. The video explained in detail about sub-tools that help create customs shapes. The video explained how to add text and add curves to an illustrator. I found this tutorial the most helpful. The tool that would be hard to remember is the various keyboard short cuts that turn on tools. I would use Illustrator to create logos for stories and create character models.

Digital Media Final Portfolio

My name is Richard Jacob and I am a freshman at the University of Tampa majoring in Film Production. This is my final portfolio including all my work from the FMX 210 Digital Media class. Throughout the semester, I learned how to use multiple Adobe software programs to create various projects. The programs include Dreamweaver, Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign. Throughout my art, I showcase elements from my story, War of Dragons. My favorite project was the business cards and it can be found on page 12. The Business Cards project was created in Adobe InDesign . My least favorite project was the HTML5 Canvas because coding isn't my thing. For the portfolio, I used InDesign to create each portfolio page. dialogue

 I made a dialogue animation with a ghost saying "i see you". The ghost squints when it says "you" as it makes the ghost have more emotion. The ghost's dialogue was synced up well in my opinion.
